Where: Southeast corner of Wilshire and Normandie (Irolo St.) Los Angeles.
When: 12:38 AM
What: Pile of hamburger buns, sitting on a bench at the bus stop, presumably waiting for a bus.
WTF: Walking back from a skeezy all night Internet Cafe to the Brass Monkey Karaoke bar, a friend and I spotted these mysterious hamburger buns next to a lady waiting for the bus. At first we laughed and walked past, but I got the growing feeling I needed to find out more about these buns. I walked back up to the woman and asked her, “hey, are these your buns?” She looked at them, then at me and said, “no.” It was then when I took these pictures.
So, who put these here, I wonder? Does the bus have a limit on how many hamburger buns you can bring on at once? They don’t look stale or moldy so its strange that someone would throw them out like this.
Final conclusion: There is a McDonalds not too far from the bus station. It was closed at the time. I believe these buns just got off work and were heading home. Where exactly do buns live, if not at McDonalds? The only answer we can gather from the way the bus was heading: North.
